asked for a sizeable hike during the renewal of his contract recently. After giving it some thought, the production house apparently has agreed to pay him an exorbitant `1.6 lakh per day as he is the face of the show. This may be one of the highest amounts ever paid to a Hindi television fiction actor. We asked Mishal about this and while refusing to comment on the alleged figure, he said, “I believe I deserve the amount I have quoted for a seven-day telecast.”
