Roop Durgapal: We should take a break from city life & get back to our roots to understand the purpose of our life

Roop Durgapal talks about her recent trip to Uttarakhand
TV actress

Roop Durgapal

recently took a road trip to her hometown, Uttarakhand.

Roop

belongs to the mountains and she enjoys the peace and beauty of the place. Talking about her trip, she says, "It was a 15-day trip and I enjoy going to

Uttarakhand

every year, but this year it was special for me. While I would often visit the mountains and lakes around, this time I decided to explore the temples.. Uttarakhand is known as

Devbhoomi

and it is named that for a reason; there are numerous temples which have a history of years. After visiting all these holy places and learning the stories behind them, I was mesmerised."

She adds,"I feel that people should even explore this side of life. I went to a few places with my father and it was lovely."

In the past one year, people's perspective towards life has changed. Like many others, Roop too is in favour of leading a minimalistic life. "When I go to such places, I feel that we should take a break from city life and return to our roots, and understand the purpose of our life. We sometimes forget to live life to the fullest in the chaos and because we are running behind materialistic things. But these experiences are something that will stay for life with us always," says Roop, who is currently seen in a cameo in the TV show
