Veteran actress Rohini Hattangadi is set for her new telly show Karmyudh. Unlike other actors who would like their serials to go on and on forever, Rohini believes that “a serial should be over when the story doesn’t entertain the audience anymore. There used to be a time when a serial used to complete its run in 13 or 26 episodes and this would keep the audience glued to their TV sets.” But then she’s aware times have changed.
“It depends on the situation, on the producer or the channels and mainly the preferences of the audience.” The actress, who has portrayed a number of serious roles in films and on TV, loves comedy and she has to her credit quite a few comic roles. “I enjoyed playing the role of “Daku-amma” in the serial Gunwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. I also did Lo Ho Gayi Pooja Is Ghar Ki. My roles in the movies Chaalbaaz, Jalwa and a few Marathi movies too had the audience in splits.” So are we going to see her in something funny soon?
