During Kolkata auditions, a contestant named Vivek Bora shared his experience of racial remarks just because he is from the North East. Being an Assamese, Vivek has been often addressed as ‘Chinki’, ‘Hakka Noodles’ and ‘Made In China’ by people in North India. He expressed his discontent, “We don’t like it when people call us by these names. Do they not know that we are very much a part of this country as they are?”

An enraged Rannvijay immediately pointed out that this year, Roadies is going to be shot in the picturesque location of the North East. Condemning such issues Rannvijay said, “We love the North East and we do not feel that it’s different from any other part of our country. People who have such petty thinking are stupid.”

Rannvijay then looked at Vivek and said, “You have come on the right platform and I am glad that you have spoken about this issue.”

Impressed by Vivek’s skills in the various tasks, rapper Raftaar couldn’t stop from dedicating few lines for him, “Neechi soch jinki hai woh bolte tujhe chinki hain. Unki zindagi ki kamai utni hai jitni teri akele ki kamai hai”
