Rishi Saxena recalls being nervous while shooting a slap scene in Itti Si Khushi; credits his co-actor Sumbul for helping him perform it with ease
Itti Si Khushi talks about the life of a selfless young girl, Anvita (Sumbul Touqeer Khan). She takes on the role of a parent to her siblings. Anvita has always tried her best to keep her family together, be it supporting her family through life’s tough moments to balancing the difficulties of love and marriage.
Viewers witnessed moments between Anvita and her husband Sanjay (Rishi Saxena) in the recent episodes that were dramatic and deeply emotional.
In one of the show’s recent scenes, viewers saw an emotional slap sequence between Sanjay and Anvita. The moment became an important turning point in the storyline. While the scene looked smooth on-screen, Rishi admits that shooting it was not at all easy.
Rishi was performing a sensitive scene for the first time and it made him nervous. However, his co-star Sumbul Touqeer Khan came to his rescue. With her support and understanding, the scene became a memorable learning experience for him.
Rishi Saxena opened up about his experience shooting the scene, “I have done intense scenes in the past, but this time it was different and I was nervous as I was slapping a woman. I discussed the scene with Sumbul, and since we are both committed actors we decided to approach the scene with full dedication and conviction. The scene was extremely intense, but it was a pleasure working with Sumbul as she understood the intensity required and supported me right through the shoot."
Itti Si Khushi stars Varun Badola, Rishi Saxena, Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Rajat Verma and Gauri Tonk in prominent roles.
