Veteran actor Raza Murad is all set to play a cameo role of Shahjahan in Colors' Veer Shivaji. Raza has been known for his negative roles in Bollywood over three decades and several supporting roles on Television. He was earlier seen as Shamsuddin Atka Khan, as a Mughal advisor to Akbar in the movie
Jodhaa Akbar. Also, he has played Akbar in the TV show Shubh Din Aayo, Jahangir and Aurangzeb in movie
1857and Sarja respectively.
And this is the fourth time, he will be portraying the role of a Mughal emperor.
Talking about his role, Raza said, "I have worked on television and love the medium for its connect with the audience. I found Veer Shivajian interesting project as it showcases the life of the great Maratha warrior and takes you back in history. I will be playing Shahjahan and will enter the show when Shivaji seeks his support to release Shahaji Raje from Adilshah's custody.""I am now working on my look and character closely with the production team and hope the audiences will like my work. I have played many negative roles in films and television gives me an opportunity to break through this image and portray another side to me," adds he.
