Actress Raushni Srivastava, best remembered for making her acting debut with the TV show, ‘Raghukul Reet Sada Chali Aayi’, featuring superstar
Rajesh Khanna, reveals she always listens to her heart, and that’s her key to accomplishing her dreams.
She says, "After doing a few shows on television, acting was becoming monotonous for me, so I took a break and started doing a few wonderful shows as an anchor.
I'm someone who enjoys taking up new challenges in life. I feel being adventurous excites me as far as my creativity is concerned. I only follow my heart. This is how I contribute to the vibration of the Universe. I don't go by the rules about what appeals to society etc. I always believed in “Do what makes you come alive!!”
Raushni is currently focusing on digital projects and has even started writing, singing and releasing her songs. She adds, "I have realised that very few people would appreciate your efforts when you are attempting and doing something new as most of the people around us would only throw their harsh opinions instead of acknowledging our efforts. I have my own experiences on how friends turned foes and strangers become friends, and all of a sudden, relatives, distant friends and extended family start appreciating once you are successful. I'm happy and grateful to Universe that I could write, sing and release my songs. I'm also enjoying acting in digital projects."
Raushni, who has been part of shows like 'Yeh Chanda Kanoon Hai', Koi To Hai…Ardhanarishwar, ‘Zindagi Ke Rang’ among others, adds that she enjoys working on different projects that satisfies her heart. Raushni Srivastava wrote a book, “My Heart Out”, a compilation of her feelings and thoughts and dedicated the book to her late father.
"If I talk about my hobbies, they include reading, writing, talking to my friends, and living from my heart. Let your life be a work of heart because that would enable us to fulfil the circle of destiny. When we live from the heart, it fulfils us from within. That normal 'Duniyadaari' people cannot understand. People only fall in love with your potential, not your being, they never appreciate your effort as to what it takes, so the bottom line is about doing things that resonate with your heart and forget about who enjoys your art or doesn’t appreciate your art. She concludes by quoting, 'Your art is not about how many people like your work; your art is about if your heart likes your work, if your soul likes your work, it’s about how honest you are with yourself, and you must never trade honesty for relatability'."
