' has joined the list of shows that are being rerun for viewers. The show, which featured seasoned actors such as Satish Shah,

Ratna Pathak Shah

, Rupali Ganguli and Sumeet Raghavan, was a big hit with audiences and people happy to watch it again.

While there were several comedy shows after 'Sarabhai', but few have the recall value that it boasts of. We asked Ratna Pathak Shah if she agrees that the Indian TV scene lacks the kind of situational comedy that it used to have once upon a time and she said, “Although we Indians have a sense of humour in life, it does not translate well into performances. We tend to like very simple physical comedy or worse, jokes where you pull someone down. ‘Sarabhai’ was special because it had characterisation, plot and most importantly, wit, which is rarely found in television shows these days.”

'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai' was produced by JD Majethia and Aatish Kapadia, written by Aatish Kapadia and directed by Deven Bhojani.
