Rati Pandey joins the cast of 'Tenali Rama'

Actress Rati Pandey, who was last seen in 'Divya Drashti', has been roped in to play a pivotal cameo in 'Tenali Rama'. According to the track, Kaikala (Vishwajeet Pradhan) is sceptical of Rama (Bhaskar in disguise) and feels that he is actually an impostor in the garb of a noted minister. In a bid to unearth the truth and expose his real identity, Kaikala invites another noted intellectual (played by Rati Pandey), for a battle of wits with

Rati says, "I play a queen, who is intelligent, witty and sharp like Tenali Rama. What's interesting about the character is that she will have a face-off with Tenali, during which she assesses his intelligence with her questions and pahelis. If he is able to solve the pahelis, he will win Vijayanagar."

The actress has played a rani earlier in the historical show, 'Porus'. Talking about reprising the act, she says, "My character in 'Porus' was of a strong rani, who was also a warrior. The character in 'Tenali Rama' has a tadka of sweetness, intelligence and newness. Most importantly, it's a light-hearted show. My journey in 'Tenali Rama' is just for a short period, but I am looking forward to having lot of fun playing this character."
