Rakhi Sawant and her husband part ways; from money matters to legal battle, here's what went wrong in their relationship

Rakhi Sawant spoke about how she has always been deprived of true love and desires to have the epic love of her life. She seemed on cloud nine when her NRI husband Ritesh was introduced to the world through Bigg Boss 15. Unfortunately, the couple has parted ways and Rakhi is in a distraught state. Rakhi Sawant secretly tied the knot a few years ago and shared the pictures on her social media account leaving tongues wagging. She posted her solo pictures and she was accused of faking her marriage. However, Rakhi stuck to her words that her husband is an NRI (Non-Resident of India) businessman and due to certain reasons refrains from coming out in the public eye. It was during Bigg Boss 15 that Ritesh participated with her and called himself 'Rakhi Sawant's husband.' He received a grand welcome from Rakhi inside the show and she was overjoyed to get acceptance by him.

Rakhi Sawant and Ritesh seldom agreed to anything on the show. Ritesh didn't like her interference or her guiding him and would often talk to her in an irritating tone. Rakhi silently took the bashing as he threatened to leave her if she spoke a word, which left the housemates fuming with anger. They made her understand that she is 'The' Rakhi Sawant and can't take such a treatment from anyone. Host Salman Khan had also bashed him during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode and brought back his past where he hinted that a domestic violence case was registered against him for allegedly beating his former wife for 4 hours at a stretch. Salman Khan warned Ritesh to behave respectfully with Rakhi, else, its outcome would be very dreadful.

Ritesh's former wife Snigdha Priya questioned his marriage with Rakhi Sawant. In an exclusive interview with BT, Snigdha expressed her shock by saying, "I still can’t believe how he managed to marry a celebrity like Rakhi. According to me, it’s a lie and so are his claims of being an NRI and owning a company. How can Ritesh pose as Rakhi Sawant’s husband on Bigg Boss 15? He is still married to me. This is against the law." However, Ritesh claimed that Snigdha had an affair with someone else and is playing the victim card. He told ETimes TV in an interview, "Through this interview, I want to ask her if I am so violent and a psycho, why are you not divorcing me. She’s just trying her best to extort money from me which she has done in the past. I have all the details and proof. If I would beat her every day, why did she stay with me and not register a complaint against me?"

Rakhi Sawant often hinted at his legal matters to be a major hindrance in their relationship. In a recent interview too, with ETimes TV, when she was asked about her status with Ritesh, she said, "Bahar nikalne ke baad we are friends. Acche dost hain. Certain legal matters have to be resolved, he's doing that. Sabne kaha mera bhaade ka pati. Let people say anything. Bhaade ka toh bhaade ka. Usmein kya?" Even during her stay inside the Bigg Boss 15 house, Rakhi expressed her doubts about this relationship. When Rashami Desai asked Rakhi the reason behind not leaving Ritesh, she stated that he has helped her monetarily and she is overburdened under his favours.

After the show, Ritesh and Rakhi were spotted together outside her gym and she looked very enthusiastic about bringing him along. Rakhi also said that she'll make him exercise rigorously to get abs like Umar Riaz. Next, they were spotted at Shamita Shetty's birthday bash too and clicked pictures with the Shetty family. A few days prior to Valentine's Day, Rakhi was captured by the paparazzi outside her gym where she appeared gloomy. She shared that she isn't lucky to enough to celebrate Valentine's Day and hinted at things not going well between her and Ritesh.

Rakhi said that before leaving the house Ritesh said that their marriage wasn't legal. In an interview with BT, Rakhi revealed, "After Bigg Boss a few weeks ago, we started living together in my house in Mumbai, but yesterday he packed his bags and left. He said that he is in legal trouble because he didn’t divorce his first wife and now he doesn’t want to live with me anymore. He said that he lost a of money also in his business as he had to go through a lot of scrutiny after he entered the Bigg Boss house with me."

Rakhi also shared that she truly loved him but can't be unfair to his former wife and child. The entertainer also stated that after his divorce with first wife, if he wishes to return to her, she will welcome him with open arms and forgive him. "I love him very much and I will forgive him for everything. If he gets divorced and wants to come back to me, then he should know that I am waiting for him. But if he is happy with his wife and kids then God bless them. But for me, marriage and love is not a joke."

During her first appearance in public post her separation from Ritesh, Rakhi couldn't hold back her tears and had an emotional meltdown. She spoke about how she's all heartbroken and indulged in junk food leading to weight gain. For the unversed, Rakhi was on a gluten-free diet as Salman Khan promised her a song in his upcoming film.
