Rajshree Thakur: Viewers enjoy watching stories that are woven around their families
Rajshree Thakur, who was last seen in TV show Appnapan-Badalte Rishton Ka Bandhan, is back on TV after two years. The actress will be seen in Bas Itna Sa Khwaab playing the lead role opposite Yogendra Vikram Singh.
Rajshree said, "I am glad to be back in another strong and interesting role. I am glad that TV shows are exploring more mature couples' stories and how they deal with everyday situations in life. I am glad that we are not just focussed on young love stories and triangles. In Bas Itna Sa Khwaab, I am playing a wife and mother, who steps out of her home to fulfill her family's dreams. Every time you see the man trying to fulfill everyone's dreams and needs, but here the woman steps out to help the husband and their family live a good life. In real life too, I am quite close to my character Avni, because I enjoy doing things and spending quality time with my family."
Rajshree, who has been part of showbiz for more than a decade, shares how she is comfortable doing TV. She said, "After Saath Phere in 2005, I got married and then became a mother. However, there was no dearth of roles before getting married or even after I became a mother. Viewers enjoy watching stories that are woven around their families."
On the personal front, Rajshree enjoys reading and cooking when she is at home. She said, "I enjoy cooking for my daughter. I also love reading. I am not so much a TV person. I might watch films but don't get enough time to watch TV shows."
