Rajiv, Vibha in key roles

The grapevine is buzzing about Zee TV’s upcoming show, tentatively titled Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuyien, to be produced by Rashmi Sharma’s production house, Rashmi Sharma Telefilms .
A light hearted family drama, an elaborate joint middle class family, a strict & disciplined mother, etc are few elements that define this show based out of the Pink City, Jaipur in Rajasthan.To give authenticity to the show the unit has shot in Jaipur’s famous places like Chokhi Dhani, Hawa Mahal, Ajmeri Gate, Babu bazaar, Johri market and explored food joints with delicious Rajasthani cuisines, went camel riding, etc.
The beauty about the Indian culture lies in its age-long prevailing tradition of the joint family system. The eldest, usually the male member is the decision maker and heads the family but in Kaushik’s household, Mrs. Bindeshwari Kaushik aka Vibha Chibber of Chak De India and Bidaai fame, will be seen essaying the role of a strong protagonist. Inspired from the veteran actress Dina Pathak’s character from the movie Khoobsoorat, she too is a strict, disciplined, stern lady who carries a rule book but this is all to keep the family values intact and bonded. Lies is something she strongly abhors!
The story begins with Mrs. Kaushik’s search for the fifth bahu for her youngest son. According to her, an ideal bahu is one who should be an amalgamation of the elements of nature (fire, water, air, space & earth) akin to the virtues represented by her other four loving, honest and obedient daughter-in-laws. The million dollar question is – Will Bindeshwari’s prayers be answered?
Vibha Chibber who has a prolific theatre background has also acted in movies like Saawariyaan and Ghajini, will portray the character of Mrs Bindeshwari Kausik while veteran film and T.V. actor Rajiv Verma will essay Mr. Kaushik’s role.
