Rahul Vaidya purchases ₹9 crore luxury apartment in Mumbai
Rahul Vaidya, the runner-up of 'Indian Idol Season 1', has recently purchased a luxurious apartment in Mumbai for ₹9 crore. The property, located in Bandra West, features a spacious layout and various amenities.
This purchase is part of a larger trend, as the neighborhood has seen a surge in celebrity real estate investments, with Bollywood stars like Sunil Shetty, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone, along with sports personalities such as KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty, also acquiring properties in the area.
According to Square Yards, Vaidya's newly purchased apartment spans a carpet area of approximately 3,110 sq. ft. and a built-up area of 317.93 sq. m. The transaction, finalised in October 2024, incurred a stamp duty payment of ₹56.37 lakh and a registration fee of ₹30,000.
Rahul participated in various music shows, including 'Star Yaar Kalakaar', 'Aao Jhoomein Gaayen', and 'Chalti Ka Naam Antakshari'. His appearance on 'Indian Idol' in 2004 marked a significant breakthrough, where he finished as the runner-up. He later became a finalist on 'Bigg Boss 14' and 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11'. In 2024, he was featured in reality show 'Laughter Chef', which gained substantial popularity and captured the audience's attention.
