Pushpa Impossible actress Pooja Katurde: To do justice to my role of a police officer, I regularly workout and eat clean
Pooja Katurde is currently seen playing the role of a sharp, no-nonsense police officer and Pushpa’s daughter in law in Pushpa Impossible. Her character stands out with striking authenticity. In the chat, the actress mentions that staying fit helps the actress both look and feel like her character.
Pooja says fitness is important to prepare for the role and to convincingly play a police officer on-screen. For Pooja, fitness has become an important part of understanding her character’s strength and discipline.
Speaking about the experience, Pooja Katurde shares, “Wearing the uniform itself puts you in a very different mindset. It automatically demands strength, confidence, and alertness. I knew that to play a police officer, I must stay fit and maintain a certain physique because the role demands it. What the audience sees on screen is confidence, but a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes. I’m not someone who believes in extreme workouts so I keep it simple with regular workouts, staying active, and clean eating to do justice to my role as a police officer in the show. When your body feels strong, it reflects on screen without you trying too hard.”
Recently in another conversation, Pooja spoke about the atmosphere on the sets and shared, “What audiences see on screen is exactly how we are off screen, one big, excited family. The bond we share on set is something really special. People often assume that actors rush back to their rooms the moment we get a break, but for us, it’s the complete opposite. We barely ever go back to our rooms because the set itself has become our comfort space. Our breaks are usually filled with endless chatter, laughter, and the silliest games you can imagine."
She added, "Sometimes we’re playing rounds of dumb charades, sometimes it’s antaakshari, and sometimes we just sit together pulling each other’s legs. That comfort and chemistry we share off-screen truly helps us perform better and keeps the environment positive and joyful. Pushpa Impossible feels less like work and more like being part of an extended family.”
