Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary has been doing a good job in Bigg Boss 16. Her fierce and bindass attitude has helped her come this far on the show. She has her detractors too who criticise her for her way of speaking, but then there are others who like her style and think it's suited for a show like Bigg Boss. Since Priyanka has so far acted as a lead in just one show (Udaariyaan) people don't know much about her. Here's tracking her journey from her hometown Jaipur to tellytown.

Priyanka comes from an army background. She has done her schooling from Kendriya Vidhyalaya in Jaipur and graduated from Kanoria PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya.

Priyanka began her journey by hosting events and shows in her early days while she was looking for that one opportunity to get into showbiz. In an earlier interview, she said, "Acting was always on my mind. After I completed my 12th, I started hosting shows. Then, I got an offer to work in a music video by lyricist Kunaal Vermaa, who is from Jaipur. After that, I played a small role in a German movie titled 'The Girl With The Indian Emerald', which was shot in and around Jaipur. It gave me the confidence to face the camera. After that, there has been no looking back."

The actress made her debut on television with the show Gathbandhan starring Abrar Qazi and Shruti Sharma in lead roles. Later, she went on to do episodics (Savdhaan India) and also acted in some web projects. She did a cameo where she played Kittu in Yeh Hai Chahatein.

The turning point for her was when she bagged the lead role in Udaariyaan. It was her first lead role and the actress was very excited about it. While joining the show, she had said, "I play one of the leads and this is a big opportunity for me. I feel so responsible now!" Her chemistry in the show with Ankit Gupta was loved by viewers.

After her role in Udaariyaan ended, Priyanka was offered Bigg Boss 16. She has come a long way. People like the fact that she is real on the show. Bigg Boss 16 is in it's last leg now and everyone is putting their best foot forward. Before entering the show, she told us, "I was wondering whether I should participate in Bigg Boss or avoid it and then I told myself that this is something that was on my wish list, so why was I even thinking about it now. That's when I immediately decided to accept the offer."

Everyone saw Priyanka and Ankit's onscreen chemistry, but on Bigg Boss people saw their affection for each other. Yes, she came across as very dominating which wasn't really appreciated by Ankit's fans. Are they a couple? Well, that's not clear still.

Sometime back, she was scolded by Farah Khan for making fun of Shalin Bhanot's medical condition. But Priyanka managed to sail through and is now among the top contenders in Bigg Boss 16.

There are rumours already that she will be the main lead in Ekta Kapoor's Naagin season 7. So will Priyanka go the Tejasswi Prakash way? Time will tell.
