Preeti Ameen is the runaway bride

Amidst daily issues that Lapataganj brings to light, it also showcases the love story of Biji Pandey (Abbas Khan) and Surili (Preeti Ameen).
The couple who is longing to tie the knot is awaiting approval from their Mausi (Shubhangi Gokhale) and Mama.
But the hiccup is that even after several attempts, the two have failed to convince Mausi to allow them to get married.The bone of contention with Mausi is that Biji, even after clearing LLB (law exams), hasn’t landed up with a job. The old lady has now fixed Surili’s marriage with Thakur’s son from a neighbouring village Bholaganj. This development has prompted the couple to elope.
Abbas says, “For a particular sequence, I had to run after the bus to stop Surili and the sequence was shot throughout the day.” “It’s an interesting track as I elope from my home. We both find a beautiful location and decide to stay there,” Preeti says, adding, “In this track we are shown atop a hill beside a small canal romancing each other but in reality we were swarmed by mosquitoes.” Watch the interesting track in the upcoming episodes of Lapataganj that airs Monday to Friday at 10 pm on SAB TV.
