Pratyusha Banerjee turns a daayan

Known for playing the demure bahu in TV soaps, Pratyusha Banerjee is all set to break the image with her latest outing. The actress will be seen in a never-attempted-before avatar in the TV show 'Sasural Simar Ka'.
She will play a witch (daayan) in it. Her character, Mohini — a plain Jane — will move into the Bharadwajs’ neighbourhood.

Pratyusha confirms, “I am attempting something new.It’s not a typical sari-clad bahu role. There is a history to the track, which will unravel at a later stage.”
Ask her if there were any apprehensions about playing a negative role and she replies, “Of course yes, but then, as an actor, I should attempt diverse roles. I loved playing Anandi and now, I am back with something interesting.”
