Pooja Sharma in a more contemporary role this time

After playing the role of Draupadi in Mahabharat, Pooja Sharma will soon be back on TV, but in a more contemporary role this time. Sources tell us that the actress has been roped in for an important role in the upcoming show Manmarziyan.

“Pooja will be seen in a cameo in the show but her role will be critical to the storyline. The details of her role are being kept under wraps and some aspects of the character are still being worked out. However, the role will be entirely different from her Mahabharat role and it will be interesting to see her play a modern, contemporary girl. Ahem Sharma, who played Karna in Mahabharat, will be seen as the male lead opposite Kashmira Irani,” sources told us.
Pooja, confirmed the news, and said, “Yes, I will be seen playing a very contemporary character, which will be opposite to that of Draupadi. I think some people are not even going to recognise me in such a different role. More than that, I can’t talk about the role much.” Siddharth Kumar Tewary, who made Mahabharat, is producing the show.
