People blindly follow fads, says Dhadkan Zindagi Ki actress Devanggana Chauhan
RJ, anchor, and actor Devanggana Chauhan, who made her TV debut with Dhadkan Zindagi Ki, opened up about evolving fitness trends, mindful living, and the importance of balance. Speaking about changing fitness habits, she said, “When we talk about new trends and lifestyle, there is so much to explore. I have added Pilates to my routine, and I have been doing a lot of power yoga. Initially, fitness used to be just about walking, jogging, running, or going to the gym. But now, we have so many new additions.”
Despite embracing new routines, she values traditional eating habits. “I totally believe in home-cooked meals. They are my favourite… I always prefer ghar ka khana because it is the best and very hygienic. Home-cooked food is everything for me,” she shared.
Highlighting digital discipline, she added, “There is something I use on my mobile phone called ‘reduce interruption focus’. When I actually want to focus on something, all my notifications are turned off.” Opening up about her health, she revealed, “A few months back, I had a sleeping disorder… Sleeping is very, very important. Since the time I have been taking ashwagandha and magnesium supplements, my sleep and overall health have improved.”
She also cautioned against blindly following trends, saying, “A lot of people are influenced by trends. They blindly follow fads. Every body structure is different, and you need to consult a proper nutritionist.” Emphasising consistency, she concluded, “One simple lifestyle change is just movement… like aiming for 10,000 steps a day.”
