Television actor
Pearl V Puri has been granted bail in the alleged rape and molestation of a minor girl. The actor was arrested on June 4 by the Waliv police (
Vasai
) in
POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences).
This comes after his hearing today (June 15). Lawyer, Rajeev Sawant, confirmed the news to ETimes TV.
Pearl
has been in judicial custody for more than a week. He is going to be out of jail after 11 days.
The lawyer had applied for bail on June 7 and the hearing had been postponed. He was not given bail earlier.
The alleged incident for which Pearl was arrested took place in 2019 during the shoot of his television show, Bepanah Pyaarr. The girl is the daughter of an actor, who was Pearl's co-star.
Pearl has done several shows on television including Badatameez Dil, Nagarjuna, Bepanah Pyaarr, Naagin 3 and Meri Sasu Maa. Not only this he has also been part of reality shows such as Kitchen Champion 5, Khatra Khatra Khatra and Box Cricket League 4.
He was last seen in the television show Brahmarakshas 2.
