Pavitra Rishta actor Mahesh Shetty's team on Sushant Singh Rajput's death: Please give him some privacy and let him grieve for his loss

Sushant Singh Rajput, who died by suicide on June 14 was in constant touch with his Pavitra Rishta co-actor, Mahesh Shetty. He was the last person, Sushant called before his death, and Mahesh has been receiving many messages and calls from the fraternity and the media.

Mahesh Shetty's team has released a statement saying that he is extremely heartbroken and is still under tremendous state of shock. The statement reads: "As we are all deeply pained and shocked to hear about Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely demise.. So is Mahesh Shetty. He has lost a brother, a very dear friend and is still coming to terms with the shock and reality and is completely heartbroken. We, his team, request the media and all of you, on his behalf, to please give him some privacy and let him grieve for his loss"
Sushant Singh Rajput and Mahesh Shetty were enemies onscreen but remained to be good friends offscreen. Reports suggest that Sushant was under depression and was taking anti-depressant pills. The actor was found dead at his Bandra residence and ever since, the nation, his family, friends, fans have been mourning this untimely loss.
