Pavitra Punia: Everybody has the right to enhance their features

Pavitra Punia doesn’t mince words when it comes to sharing her views on the online criticism celebrities frequently face. She says, “Celebrities are trolled regularly, and we receive negative comments every other day, which is why I felt like speaking about it.”

Addressing trolls who target actors for undergoing cosmetic procedures, she adds, “I’m an outspoken person, so I’m not going to sit back and let people say whatever they want… that’s not how it works for me. It’s our money, our life. If a surgery fails — good for us or bad for us — that’s none of anyone’s business.”



Cosmetic enhancements, she says, are neither new nor rare. “Everybody has the right to enhance their features or their body. Nobody else should have a say in that.” Pavitra is equally candid about her own choices. “I always say my lips are enhanced. I’m not someone who will shy away from admitting it. Rather than letting people troll us, it’s high time celebrities become more vocal,” says the actress.
