Parineeta Borthakur: I don’t believe in fast fashion, I support sustainability

The actress talks about the things she learnt in times of COVID.

TV actress Parineeta Borthakur

, who is playing the lead role in ‘

Gupta Brothers

Chaar Kunware From Ganga Kinare’, talks to us about the lessons she learnt amid the

pandemic

and the changes she has brought in her life.

“Throughout the lockdown, many people were going through depression, but somehow, I took it in a positive way. Especially when I saw migrant workers, who got stuck in different cities while going back to their native places, I felt so lucky that we have a house, food to eat and much more,” says Parineeta, adding, “One thing I realised is that there are many things that we do not need in our lives and we can live with very few and necessary things. This situation has taught me not to shop much and it is good for the environment, too. I genuinely support sustainability and don’t believe in

fast fashion

. I do not mind repeating my clothes or even other products.”

She further adds, “Many people gained weight during the lockdown by eating unhealthy or outside food. I kept myself away from that and maintained my health. I was also working out with my friends online, which was a good experience.”

In the TV show ‘Gupta Brothers Chaar Kunware From Ganga Kinare’, Parineeta and

Hitten Ttejwani

are portraying the lead characters. Now that the actress is back on sets, she shares, “Coming back to work wasn’t scary and I always take all the precautions needed, and so does everyone else on the sets.”
