The actress had opened up about the divine intervention that she experienced as she conceived soon after signing for her mythological show Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya. She shared, “I would call it a miracle, soon after the day when I signed up for the show, I got pregnant. So I contacted the makers and they were like 'The goddess has already blessed you.' I was sceptical about how would we go about the shoot but by Maiyya's blessings, things have been amazing.”
She further spoke about her dislike towards non-veg food during pregnancy. She said, “It has been 7 months, being from a Bengali family I am a hardcore non-vegetarian, but in these 7 months, I am unable to eat it. I end up puking it. I am only eating boiled food during my pregnancy. Ever since I started playing Chhathi Maiyya, I have completely stopped eating non-veg.”
Devoleena first announced her pregnancy on August 15, sharing pictures from the Panchamrit ritual attended by family and close friends. She wrote, “Celebrating the divine journey to motherhood with the sacred Panchamrit ritual, where tradition and love blend to bless the mother and her unborn child with health, prosperity, and joy during this beautiful chapter of life.”
