Pallavi Subhash to play emperor Ashoka’s mother

Pallavi Subhash is busy playing timeless heroines from the past. And her latest role sees her making a shift from a mythological serial to a historical one.
After featuring as Rukmini in Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s Mahabharat, she will now be seen as Ashoka’s mother in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat.

This story will encompass the legendary king’s life story — right from his rise to power to the battle of Kalinga that made him give up war and embrace Buddhism.When Pallavi, who has acted in several Hindi and Marathi shows, including Karam Apnaa Apnaa, chose not to comment.
