Palak Purswani and Rohan Khanna to marry in Coimbatore on June 26 - EXCLUSIVE
Palak Purswani and her beau Rohan Khanna are set to tie the knot in Coimbatore on June 26, but not before several changes to their original wedding plans. The couple, who were initially scheduled to marry last December, travelled across countries scouting venues and almost finalised Jordan before the war in the region forced them to reconsider.
Speaking about the shift in plans, Palak says the unexpected pause has given them time to reflect on what truly matters. Palak, who has been part of shows like Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, Meri Hanikarak Biwi, Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee, and Bigg Boss OTT 2, shares, “We genuinely believed we would have an international destination wedding. But gradually, we realised the answer was never luxury or geography; it was something more rooted and meaningful. We had everything locked in — the venue, hotel and plans in Jordan — and then circumstances changed. Strangely, instead of feeling disappointed, it made us pause and ask ourselves what we are really looking for. No matter how many countries we explore or venues we visit, it feels like we are always meant to come back home.”
She adds, “Now, we cannot imagine it happening anywhere else. Rohan and I are both deeply spiritual people, and we want the wedding to feel aligned with who we are. We both realise we don’t want a typical big wedding with endless functions and all the noise around it.”
The actress further adds that both she and Rohan feel strongly drawn to celebrating their special day in India. She also mentions that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to host weddings within the country resonates with them. She says, “Of course, the war situation changed our plans, and Prime Minister Modi’s message about celebrating India makes us reflect too. At the same time, it is connected to our own journey. There is a strong inner feeling that we are being guided towards something.”
