Nupur Alankar
is running from pillar to post and making several calls but is now a very, very worried woman.
Nupur's brother-in-law
, who was in
Afghanistan
when the
Taliban captured is no longer traceable. "My sister and I have lost touch with him. It's been 9/10 days now since we last spoke to him."
Flights have been coming into India from Afghanistan but Nupur's brother-in-law has not been on board.
Nupur's sister is Jigyasa, who has housed
Savita Bajaj after she was discharged from the hospital a few days ago. Nupur has moved in with Jigyasa in her moment of crisis. "I am trying my best to not be pessimistic as that would only increase our anxiety levels. Jigyasa is trying her best to maintain a calm exterior. But we are now hardly able to sleep for 2 hours every night."
Nupur says that the last time they spoke to Jigyasa's husband, he told them that he was unable to charge his phone much and the line got disconnected just as he was explaining why so. Nupur and Jigyasa are not even aware where he has parked himself. "He had said he would send us a number of the person he was with at that time, but we also did not get any text of such kind from him."
We at
ETimes TV
stand by Nupur in the moment of crisis and pray that her brother-in-law returns to home in Mumbai safely.
