Not Mrinal Kulkarni, but Pallavi Joshi as Tarabai in 'Bajirao Mastani'

There have been several reports about the stellar cast of

Sony Entertainment Television

's upcoming historical show, 'Bajirao Mastani'. Last week, one such report stated that seasoned actress Mrinal Kulkarni has been finalised to play the pivotal role of Tarabai, the warrior queen of the Marathas. However, the latest development on that front is that it's not Mrinal, but the very talented actress Pallavi Joshi, who will play the part. Pallavi was recently seen in &TV's 'Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai', which marked her return to the small screen after a decade.
But that's not it. The title of the show is also expected to undergo a change. Currently called 'Bajirao Mastani', it might finally be titled as 'Peshwa Bajirao'. The show is being co-produced by

Sunjoy Wadhwa

's Sphere Origins and Invictus T Mediaworks and will also feature Manish Wadhwa, Anuja Sathe and Sanjay Batra.
We contacted Mrinal regarding the replacement and she replied, "I have not been informed of this yet."
Both Pallavi and Sunjoy didn't respond to our text messages.
