Nitish Bharadwaj, who has entertained audiences on the big as well as small screen, has also been a part of the political arena for several years. After making a mark in his acting career by playing the character of Lord Krishna in B R Chopra’s magnum opus ‘Mahabharat’, Bharadwaj went on to join politics.

When asked about his inclination towards politics, Bharadwaj says, “I have been a member of a political party since 1995. In 1996, I went to

the Lok Sabha

from

Jamshedpur

. Currently, however, I am not inclined towards politics and not an active member, who participates in elections. Instead, all my focus is towards my acting career. I am more inclined towards filmmaking, acting and directing at this stage.”

The actor also has a huge following on his social media platforms, and fans have often said that they enjoy listening to him giving advice and his opinion on various topics. Bharadwaj is currently working on an issue-based film script, which will be his directorial debut.
