Nishant Malkani walks out!

Nishant Malkani walks out!
Nishant Malkani, who plays Anukalp in Ram Milaayi Jodi, had made it clear some time ago that he would be quitting the show soon to pursue his Bollywood dream. His detractors took this as a publicity gimmick, while his supporters were proud of him.
Nishant had intimated the production house of his decision to quit the show, but the makers claimed that their original Anukalp wasn’t going anywhere.
Producer Rajita Sharma apparently questioned the authenticity of the Bollywood projects he had bagged which angered Nishant and he left the sets immediately. Says an actor, “Rajita came on the sets and started talking rudely to Nishant in front of whole cast and crew. She is upset with him as he is quitting the show for films. Nishant requested her to discuss things in private or with the channel so that all misunderstandings could be sorted out, but she kept accusing him. He was left with no choice but to leave the sets. Now the channel will have to intervene and smoke peace between the two warring parties.”
Nishant could not be contacted, but Rajita told BT, “Nishant is under an exclusive contract and cannot threaten to leave. We had called a meeting to ask him what the issue is when he walked out. This is unfair to us as we have a contract that requires him to stay on the show till the last episode.”
Meanwhile, the show will see the return of another man in Mona’s (Sara Khan) life. We hear that it will be actor Manit Joura who played Goldie, the bad boy who was in love with Mona before her wedding. In the current track, he will emerge as a reformed, mature young man playing Anukalp’s new boss. If the buzz is anything to go by, Sara has a far better personal equation with Manit than with Nishant. The two get along like a house on fire and tongues on the sets are even wagging about sparks of attraction flying between the two! She was last heard telling someone how Manit is far more suitable to play the lead opposite her. Do we see Sara lobbying for a new hero?
