Nikkhil Arya: The air that we breathe is a privilege, it is not our right

This year, a lot of people chose not to celebrate their birthdays given the havoc that the pandemic wreaked on all our lives. But actor Nikkhil Arya, who has turned a year wiser today, has a different take on this. He says he wants to celebrate life on his birthday. “By celebration, I don’t mean partying. That is something one can do anytime. It's about being grateful for what you have in life.I am blessed just to be able to celebrate another birthday. The Almighty has given me everything that I could have asked for. I always knew that life is a blessing, but if we ever needed a reminder, then it is this year where a virus has taught us not to take life for granted. The air that we breathe is not our right, but a privilege. That, I believe, is a great learning of 2020.”
He adds, “I salute all our frontline workers - doctors, nurses, cops - everybody who has worked through the pandemic to make our lives safer and better. We are alive because of them. And they are still working relentlessly so that our lives are unaffected.”
On the professional front, Nikkhil is currently seen as Prithvi in ‘Brahmarakshas 2’. He is happy with the feedback that he has been receiving for the portrayal. He shares, “The role is both challenging and unique. I am fortunate to be working and enjoy what I am doing. I am blessed to be part of a great team, which is a bundle of talent and fun to work with. I am happy that I am entering 2021 on a positive note.”
