Nikhat Khan: I felt very proud to represent Indore on TV

Indore-born Nikhat Khan, who was one of the participants of Roadies X1 and the first Indori girl on the show, was recently in the city for an event.
She shared with us her experience of representing Indore on the popular show. Said Nikhat, “I am an Indori and I felt so proud for representing my city on the national television. Also, I am the first girl from Indore to participate in Roadies.”
Talking about her journey, Nikhat said, “I always wanted to do something different and adventurous.Therefore, after completing my graduation in software engineering, I participated in Roadies, because jo cheezien hum yahan pay karke karte woh wahan free mein karwaate hain (laughs).” She added, “I had also participated in Roadies 8 but got eliminated in the audition. But this time, I was determined to make it. Roadies is something which makes you more confident and passionate. It teaches you how to deal with strangers, and makes you more mature which I think is very important for everyone.”

Nikhat said, “I always saw more participants from the metros on such reality shows and felt that there should be participants from tier-II cities as well. Once you are confident about achieving your goal, then there is no stopping.”
She added, “In spite of belonging to a Muslim family from a town like Indore, my parents were extremely happy and proud when I got selected in Roadies. They strongly supported my decision to be a part of the show, which was the biggest motivation for me.” When we asked Nikhat about her future plans, she said, “I want to get into Bollywood and I hope someday I get a chance to work with Salman Khan (winks). Right now, I have been offered two South movies and some modelling assignments as well.”
