Newlyweds Dalljiet Kaur and Nikhil Patel pose with their kids; Sanaya Irani, Barun Sobti and others spotted at the wedding

Dalljiet Kaur found her happily ever after in Nairobi-based Nikhil Patel. The couple tied the knot today (March 18) in an intimate ceremony surrounded by friends and family. Many celebs from the telly industry also attended the wedding. The couple spoke for the first time together post tying the knot. Here’s how they are looking forward to their new life and celebs who have attended the wedding.

Dalljiet’s husband Nikhil said, “We are very happy. There’s a lot of love all around. I am excited to start this new journey.” Dalljiet shared, “When life gives you a second chance, you seem to value it more and also know the risks and responsibilities. It is a beautiful feeling.

Nikhil, who has been travelling all around the world for many years, spoke about Dalljiet moving out of the country and shifting base in Nairobi with him. He said, “Life is going to be as normal as ever for her. We will fly out next weekend and Jaydon’s schooling will start from Monday. India is just a few flight hours away so she will also be visiting and working. I am there to support her always. We can’t wait to get back and make it our home.”

Nikhil further said, “Dalljiet and I have gone through a lot of emotional roller coaster as it is a big move for her. I am also about growth and supporting her. I have said that many times and that’s exactly what I am going to do. You will absolutely be seeing a lot of her over here.”

Dalljiet posted some extremely beautiful pictures with her family. One of the pictures have the newlyweds with Dalljiet’s son Jaydon and Nikhil’s daughter Aariyana. The wedding mandap was beautifully decked up in red and white that matched the couple’s looks.

Sunayana Fozdar, Sanaya Irani and Ridhi Dogra came dressed in pink coloured outfits. Sunayana revealed that they had gotten strict instructions to wear ‘pink’. Sunayana said, “The set up is beautiful and since it is summers, we are all wearing light shades of pink. Dalljiet is so full of life and I am going to be biased – Nik is lucky.”

Ridhi Dogra revealed Dalljiet Kaur’s special nickname – Dolly. Ridhi mentioned that she has known Dalljiet, through her brother Akshay Dogra. Ridhi further said, “Everybody deserves a second chance and we should take ourselves lightly with making our life choices wholeheartedly.”

Barun Sobti, Akshay Dogra and Abhaas Mehta looked dapper in their traditional outfits. Dalljiet Kaur has been close to them since their Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon days. They have been together like a close knit family.

Dalljiet Kaur was all smiles during her bidaai rituals and Karishma Tanna could be heard screaming ‘smile, smile’. The newlyweds left the venue in a car. Soon after the wedding, Dalljiet also added ‘Patel’ to her name on social media.
