This year, however, the comedian-actor moved from television to the OTT platform with The Great Indian Kapil Show. Naturally, the slot for his television show was empty. Well, TV viewers will soon be able to laugh their heads off, as comedian Zakir Khan has taken over Sharma's spot. Khan is ready to make his way into everyone's hearts with Aapka Apna Zakir.
The channel recently released the promo for Zakir Khan's Aapka Apna Zakir. The promo features Stree 2 actors Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, as well as director Karan Johar. Zakir's teammates include Shweta Tiwari, Rithvik Dhanjani, and Gopal Datt. The promo seems fun, and the set-up is reminiscent of Kapil Sharma's program. However, as seen in the promo video, Zakir brings his own sense of humour, touch, and simplicity.
Fans have been reacting to Zakir Khan's comic timing as soon as the promos were dropped on the channel's official site. The first season's guests include Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Rohit Sharma, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and others. The show has been renewed for a second season.
