Neha Harsora: Love is letting someone into your emotional boundaries
Between hectic shoot days for Udne Ki Aasha and the intensity of daily television, Neha Harsora’s life currently revolves around work. Even so, the 23-year-old says she remains open to love, defining it not as attraction or grand romance, but as emotional connection, respect and shared values.
She says, “Love happens when you truly see a person for who they are, their nature and values. It’s not about physical appearance or attraction alone, but about connection and a sense of belonging. For me, love is being ready to let someone into your emotional boundaries, into your heart and inner circle, with respect.”
On screen, her character Sailee enters an arranged marriage. Off screen, Neha believes love can grow in any kind of union. She says, “I believe love exists in arranged marriages as well; it simply takes time to grow. There is a process of meeting, conversing, building a friendship and understanding each other and your families. In many ways, it is like any other relationship. I support both love and arrange marriages because every bond has its own journey. Gradually, you learn what you value in a partner, and that is how love takes shape.”
Like many actors, Neha has also found herself at the centre of link-up rumours with her Udne Ki Aasha co-actor Kanwar Dhillon, who is in a relationship with Alice Kaushik. She, however, chooses not to let speculation disturb her peace. “Rumours will always exist. Taking everything to heart only disturbs your peace and your home environment. Kanwar and I share a strong professional bond and friendship built on mutual respect for each other’s personal space and lives. What truly matters is the work we do as Sachin and Sailee. That trust allows us to perform with confidence. Beyond that, we simply stay focused on our work,” she concludes.
