‘Naagin 5’ actor, Dinesh Mehta is delighted to play a negative role in upcoming historical TV drama 'Pracchand Ashok' to be produced by Ekta Kapoor.
He said, "I'm looking forward to playing a prominent negative role in this show. I can't reveal much about my role as of now but carry a strong belief that my audience will enjoy watching me as Subhandhu. I always look forward to exploring such opportunities of playing layered and challenging roles."
Dinesh was last seen in mythological show 'Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Tandav', and received immense popularity for playing the role of lord Shiva in two popular shows 'Santoshi Maa – Sunayein Vrat Kathayein' and 'Yashomati Maiyya Ke Nandlala'
He added, "I'm happy with my journey as an actor in this industry. I was fortunate to play many roles positive to negative, historical, mythological and supernatural. I don't want to limit myself as an actor and wish to act in every platform be it TV, bollywood or the web. I aim to connect with more audience and win their hearts entertaining them with my acting capabilities. The love and blessings they shower on me keeps me motivated to take up new challenges."
Dinesh is known for featuring in shows like 'Meri Gudiya', 'Chandragupta Maurya' and 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein'.
Pracchand Ashok, will star Adnan Khan as Samrat Ashok and Mallika Singh as Princess Kaurwaki. Actor Chetan Hansraj will play the role of Bindusar, the heir of Chandragupta Maurya and Ashok’s father. Rakshanda will be seen as Helena. Aarush Srivastav as Sushim, Ankit Bhatia as Bhadrak, Shalini Chandran as Dharma, Leena Balodi as Salukkhavati, Manish Khanna as Padmanabhan, and Harsh Vashisht as Kaurwaki’s uncle.
