My son will be going abroad for further studies and hence we planned a fun trip: Mridula Oberoi

Mridula Oberoi, who is currently seen in the show Baghin, recently took some time off from her work to spend time with her son Tuhinanshu. The duo had a vacation in Dubai and she calls it the best time spent with her son. The actress, who recently returned from her week-long trip, says, "It's been many years since I made an international trip. My son wanted to visit Dubai, so we planned this holiday. I had to take leave from work but I specially took this time off for my son because he will be flying to New Zealand next month for his further studies."

She adds, "I made sure that my work doesn't suffer due to my absence, so I shot for a few scenes in advance and once I returned, I was back on the set. As my son will be going to another country, I wanted to take this time out for both of us. In the past, very often due to my work and his studies, we didn't get to enough time together. This vacation really helped us. It was a fun trip."

She adds, "I love exploring and meeting new people and travel is the best way to do that. Learning about new cultures is something that intrigues me."

Mridula is emotional about the fact that her son will be spending the next few years away from her. She shares, "I won't be able to spend time with him for a while now unless I visit him in New Zealand. So these Dubai trip memories are what I am going to cherish for a while now."

On the work front, she is known for playing negative roles in shows like Kumkum Bhaygya, Yeh Hai Chahatein, Appnapan and Bhagya Lakshmi.
