My Rajasthan trip helped me recharge my batteries, says Sasural Genda Phool 2 actor Sham Mashalkar
Work trips to historic places like Rajasthan have always been fun for actors, especially for those who love exploring new places. Sham Mashalkar who is currently seen in
Sham says, “I f eel I have some sort of emotional connection with Rajasthan, I can relate with the culture a lot and love the warmth of the people, their hospitality. I also love Rajasthani food, especially the Rajasthani thali with all the traditional delicacies. I keep coming to Jaipur, but this was my maiden visit to Alwar, which is about 100-150 km from Jaipur. During this trip to Alwar, I got to relish local delicacies like, daal batti churma, sarson ka saag and makke ki roti, gajak, and varieties of parathas. I have been just hogging on food for the past few days. It’s very difficult for me to even think of following any kind of diet plan when I am in Rajasthan."
Besides feasting on local delicacies, Sham also explored the historical monuments. He went to Bala Quila also known as Alwar Fort. “The unique thing about this fort is that no Mughal succeeded in conquering it, so it is also known as Kuara Killa. It is almost inaccessible by road. Since we were shooting inside the Fort I could explore every corner of the Fort. What made the trip extra special was the weather -Rajasthan in winter has its own charm! After shooting for two days I resumed the Sasural Genda Phool 2 shoot. This short trip helped me recharge my batteries and will keep me going until my next trip, not sure when that will happen given the current COVID scenario in India,"says the actor.
