Actress Madirakshi Mundle, who plays Lord Shiva’s wife Goddess Parvati in the TV show Vighnaharta Ganesh, is a Shiva devotee. The actress, who goes to the temple every day, also observes fast during the auspicious month of
Shravan.
Madirakshi has played iconic characters like Sita, Draupadi and Lakshmi in several mythological series. She has managed to play her part with ease and bring out its nuances perfectly.
The actress recently revealed that she is a loyal devotee of Lord Shiva and she observes fast throughout the month of Shravan. Madirakshi says, “I have been a huge devotee of Lord Shiva since childhood. Following in my mother's footsteps, I observe fast every Monday and religiously pray to Shivji during the auspicious month of Shravan. Little did I know that his blessings would arrive in the least expected but deeply fortunate manner, as I am essaying the role of Parvati ji in this mythological show.”

In spite of having a hectic and tiring schedule, the actress manages to fast even during her shoots. She shares, “When it comes from within, you find a way to do it. Generally, I don’t even feel hungry. In fact, it gives me positive vibes and I feel good when I fast. I do chanting as and when I get time during the breaks.” Going to the temple every day before going for the shoot has been a part of her daily routine for years. “The first thing I do after leaving my house in the morning is to visit temple on my way to the shooting set. This has been a routine for years. I don’t forget to take divine blessings before going to the shooting set,” she signs off.
