Rugani, who said, “I have heard these rumours, but we don’t have any clarity. I understand that the show is dragging a bit, but I feel that it could have lasted for a few more months.”

On his part, actor Ssharad Malhotra said, “There have been rumours of the show going off air for quite some time now, but we have not been informed officially. We have crossed 480 episodes and were about to touch the 500 milestone. Most of my shows have gone beyond 500 episodes, so it will be sad if they decide to pull the plug now.”

'Musakaan' will be replaced by another TV show 'Kartik Purnima', a love story that will have Harsh Nagar and Poulomi Das playing lead roles.
