Recently, the cast of Mahabharata was invited on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show. Mukesh Khanna, too, was invited but he refused to be a part of the show. He said that the show is "ridiculous" and "vulgar". He slammed its double meaning jokes and the artistes, who dress up as women despite being men. He even ridiculed those who laugh at their 'nonsensical' jokes. He also ridiculed the question Kapil had asked Arun Govil, who played the role of Lord Ram in Ramayan, about his underwear on the beach when he had appeared on the show. Mukesh Khanna also mocked Gajendra Chauhan, who played the role of Yudishtir for comparing The Kapil Sharma Show with Mahabharata. He said that Gajendra has half-knowledge and has 'lost his mind'. He picked on him for doing B-Grade films. "Gajendra's opinion that lakhs of people watch TKSS is baseless as the audience will watch cabaret also if you show them, but that can't decide what I want to watch. Just because everyone is watching, I won't watch it." He also commented on Gajendra Chauhan's comment that Mukesh Khanna was not invited and hence he feels that the grapes are sour.
