Mohit Malhotra: I don’t want to be visible for the sake of it
Reflecting on the rapid transformation of the entertainment landscape, Mohit acknowledges both opportunity and pressure. “The industry has changed massively. The biggest positive is that there are more opportunities today, especially with OTT. New talent is getting a chance, and content has become more important than just star power,” he shares. However, he is equally aware of the downsides. “It’s also become very fast-paced and sometimes short-lived. There’s a constant pressure to stay relevant.”
Despite his successful run on television, Mohit maintains a selective approach when it comes to returning to the medium. “Television has given me a lot, so I’m always open to coming back—but it has to be something meaningful. I don’t want to do something just for the sake of being visible,” he states firmly, reinforcing his focus on substance over presence.
When it comes to his personal life, the actor prefers to draw a clear boundary. “I like to keep that part of my life private. I believe some things are better experienced than shared,” he says. On the subject of settling down, he adds with a calm perspective, “I think it happens when it’s meant to. There are no timelines—I’m just going with the flow.”
