Manisha Rani joins Preeti Simoes and Neeti Simoes’ Maa Hai Na with her father
After the celebrity mother-daughter duo of Ssunita Ahuja and Tina Ahuja, along with influencer Tanya Mittal, were confirmed as participants on Maa Hai Na, we have now learnt that Manisha Rani has also been roped in for the show produced by Preeti Simoes and Neeti Simoes. Manisha, who emerged as the second runner-up on Bigg Boss OTT 2 and later won Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, will participate in the show alongside her father.
A source associated with the production says, “Manisha Rani is the latest celebrity to come on board for the show. While most contestants will be participating with their mothers, Manisha will be joined by her father, which brings a slightly different dynamic to the format. The concept revolves around mothers guiding their daughters through cooking challenges, along with fun conversations, banter, games and family moments. Names like Ssunita and Tina Ahuja, along with Tanya Mittal, are already being discussed, and the makers are trying to bring together personalities who share strong and relatable family bonds with the audience.”
Manisha shares a close relationship with her father, who raised her single-handedly after her parents separated when she was eight years old. Apart from reality shows like Rise and Fall, she also hosted the game-based reality show The Treasure Hunters last year.
Interestingly, Manisha first appeared on Indian television through Dance India Dance Season 5, where she was eliminated in the initial round. She later appeared in a small role in the television show Gudiya Hamari Sabhi Pe Bhari in 2020 and subsequently made her acting debut last year as the lead in the YouTube series Haale Dil, in which she played the role of Indu.
