Manish Goplani: 'I want people to buy at least one plant that they take home and love'

On the occasion of World Environment Day.

, who hails from Jaipur, spoke to us about his love for plants. “I love to have greenery around me. I don’t have a big garden at my Jaipur home. So, I made a mini garden inside my house, near the parking garage. Whenever I am in Jaipur, I water plants every day. In fact, I love it so much that I even water the wild plants near my house. My dad often makes fun of me when I do that. In Mumbai, I have around seven plants in my balcony, and I water them daily. I am in Jaipur since Holi and it breaks my heart knowing the fact that I have not been able to take care of those plants during the lockdown,” says Manish.

“Plants for me are more than just decoration; they bring me peace and happiness. I wish people spend more time gardening, and on the occasion of World Environment Day, I want them to buy at least one plant that they take home and love. It is a great thing for their emotional and physical well-being.” Manish also feels that the coronavirus pandemic has done one positive thing, that is bringing the world on one page and making the world realise that one can’t take

for granted. “Nature is rebooting itself and let’s try to preserve what we have for a better world,” he adds.
