In the web space, he says, one has to be careful about the role you take up because it is a start-to-finish role. However, television is a different ball-game altogether. “On TV, things keep changing. As long as the character is not inconsequential, I don’t mind. Anyway people don’t approach me with inconsequential roles now. They know what I can bring to the table. Yes, I have a habit of asking people why me? They say that they want to make the character look charming. So it becomes my job to make sure that when the audiences see me they can feel that charm.”

Manav is a private person and tends to keep a low-profile, which he knows is not the best way to be when you are part of showbiz. He says, "I think I am not able to market myself well sometimes. I am a very private person who doesn’t like partying or socialising much. But then I'm grateful that I do get good roles which I happily take it up."
