Manas Shah is back on TV with Yeh Hai Chahatein; says ‘When it’s Ekta Kapoor’s show there’s no question of saying no’ - Exclusive

Actor Manas Shah, who was last seen as Jatin in TV show 'Spy Bahu' returns on small screen with Ekta Kapoor's Yeh Hai Chahatein. He will be seen playing a parallel lead and creating a love triangle in the story with the protagonists Shagun Sharma and Pravisht Mishra.

Speaking to ETimes TV about his role, he said, “I play the role of Aditya. So Aditya was preparing for Civil Services with Kashvi a few years back. They were best of friends. Aditya was madly in love with her in a good way. They have a friendship and Kashvi always considered him as a friend. Meanwhile, Aditya, got many promotions and posted in Faridabad as Kashvi’s boss. So though we are of same age, Kashvi is working under me and Arjun is working as a trainee under Kashvi. Aditya is the ideal person – as a husband, friend, boyfriend. Now Arjun is feeling insecure and jealous seeing Aditya and Kashvi’s bond. This is what I got to know during the reading. So there will be a marriage with a lot of twists and turns. Audience will also feel that Kashvi deserves a husband like Aditya. There’s going to be a love triangle and Aditya will have a heroic entry. I am very happy that I am getting an entry like this in Balaji’s show. His character is going to rock it in the show.”

Manas further added, “For a long time I had stepped away from TV. I wanted to focus creatively and was doing web shows and films. Starting of 2023 I did a web show which will premiere next year. I have a film also. When an actor thinks of entering films, his dream is YRF. In TV, Balaji is a dream place to be. So there was no question to say no. I got a call and within 12 hours of the process, I was shooting for the show.”

Manas became household name after playing Gautam in his debut show Hamari Devrani in 2008. And later played roles in Zindagi Ka Har Rang.. Gulaal, Yam Hai Hum, Hamari Bahu Silk, Walgle Ki Duniya - Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey.. He earned immense popularity after playing a Hero in Gujrati successful movie Hey Kem Chho London.
