Actress
Malvi Malhotra, who is currently working in South films, started her journey with a television shows and she is grateful for that. Sharing about how it is different to work in TV and films, Malvi says, "TV will always have a special place in my heart because I started my acting journey with the show Udaan (2017). Post that I have done OTT shows and films in the South.
The one big difference is the pace; shooting for a film or a web show is different from a TV show. It's much slower. TV as a medium taught me to be on my toes and prepare for the scenes fast because we shot many scenes on the spot. In films, one gets more time to prepare for their scenes."
Was transitioning from TV to films difficult? "After my TV show, I kept auditioning for different things including movies. I bagged Hotel Milan in 2018 and that's how I got into films. It was never tough for me to make that transition from TV to film. Then I was inclined towards doing films in the South and so far I have done three movies there. So I feel that one should just keep trying and the right projects will come your way."
Malvi, who recently did the Malayalam movie Abhyuham, shares 'I have shot for the Telugu movie Tiragabhadara Saami which will release this year. I am currently also shooting for a Tamil project in Coimbatore."
She further adds, "I am happy with the work that I am getting and I want to continue doing films for some time and later at some point if I get good work in TV, I would like to do that as well because I started my journey from there."
