Malhar Pandya, who was last seen in shows such as ‘Nazar’ and ‘Rudra’, recalls the time he played the role of
Hanuman
in ‘Ramayan: Sabke Jeevan ka Aadhar’ back in 2012. The show is enjoying a rerun on
television
amid the lockdown and Malhar says he is happy that viewers are enjoying it.
Talking about how the show left a lasting impact on him, Malhar says, “I have enjoyed playing the role of Hanuman and feel it was the best character I have played so far in my career. While shooting, I could sometimes actually feel his energy and emotions especially in a scene where Hanuman
ji goes to Lanka and sees
Sita
mata upset, he feels her pain. We had to shoot a song for that sequence. I had to cry in that scene, but didn’t need glycerin since I could feel his anguish and cried naturally. Even today, when I shoot for other shows, I start my work by praying to Hanuman
ji. That is how much of an impact that role had on me.”
