Since childhood Aditya has been an ardent follower of Lord Shiva. “I saw how devoted my parents were and I followed in their footsteps. But when I grew older, I found my own path of devotion towards Mahadev. I read a lot and that made me feel closer to him,” he adds.
Every year on Mahashivratri Aditya and his family ritual visit the Shiva temple in the morning.

“This day used to be like a family get-together for us because my other uncles, aunts and their kids would come home in Bihar.
We would some good food and sometimes somebody would mix a bit of bhaang in a sweet for fun! So, my mother used to always keep an eye on me and the prasad because she was concerned that someone would trick me into eating it,” he laughs.

He says praying to Lord Shiva brings peace and calmness in his life. “The most important thing to learn from him is the fact that you can win half the battle just by staying calm in a stressful situation. It's really the best strategy to sort out a problem. Another thing to learn is that you are missing out on nothing in life if you’re not attached to wealth and materialistic things because materialistic happiness is temporary. You need to find your happiness in events and experiences, and not things,” he says.
