Mahabharat actor Nitish Bharadwaj, who played the role of Lord Krishna, separated from his wife of 12 years — IAS officer Smita Gate. The couple parted ways in September 2019 and have twin daughters, who are currently living with their mother in Indore. Nitish did not divulge the reason behind their separation but compared divorce with death. He told BT, "Yes, I filed for a divorce in the Family Court in Mumbai in September 2019. I do not want to get into the reasons why we separated. The matter is in court right now. All I can say is that sometimes divorce can be more painful than death as you live with an amputated core."

Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh dated each other for several years before getting married in 2012. They had participated in the dance reality show 'Nach Baliye 3' and lifted the trophy too.
